Where Your Credit Union Stands on Privacy
CNG Federal Credit Union is required to explain how we collect, use and safeguard your personal financial information according to established security standards and procedures. At CNG Federal Credit Union, we hold your personal and transactional information in the strictest confidence! Your privacy is a top priority.

Information We Collect
We only collect information about you that we need to administer the business of the credit union. In the course of normal business, we collect information about you from the following sources: (1) information we receive from you on applications and other forms, such as your names, address, social security number and income, (2) information about your transactions with us and others, such as your account balance, payment history and credit card usage, and (3) information we receive from third parties, such as consumer reporting agencies.

Information We Share
We limit who received information about your and what type of information is shared. Except as permitted by law and required for business practices, CNGFCU does not disclose member information to anyone. We do not sell our member lists to catalogs, direct mail companies, magazines or other financial service providers. We only share when we have to provide you, our member, with the service of products you require. Examples of when we must share data include (1) sharing with our software providers to maintain our systems. (VISA, ATM, and printed statements), and (2) sharing to complete a transaction you requested, such as orders for share drafts (checks) or a property appraisal for mortgage. Other exceptions permitted by law include providing information to perform audits of the credit union, sharing information with a credit reporting agency and responding to a judicial or legal process.

Maintaining the Privacy of Your Information
You can expect strict security standards at your credit union to ensure that your personal information remains confidential, with only those credit union employees with a “need to know” having access to it. Our employees are trained about the importance of confidentially and privacy of member information. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your personal information.

If you discontinue your relationship with CNGFCU, we continue to comply with this policy and protect the information we have collected from and about you, in accordance with the terms of our privacy policy.

Protect Yourself and Keep Accurate Information
Keep your financial information current to protect against fraud. If you find that your account information is incomplete, inaccurate or not current, please call or write us. We will correct any inaccurate information as quickly as possible. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us at (860) 528-1188.
